Investing in York Mills real estate means being a little more distant from the city itself, but there are some real advantages to buying here.
The neighbourhood features large lots with large homes, many newly built houses and quiet streets. The neighbourhood has an overall feeling of separateness from the city, while still offering excellent access to the downtown core via the TTC subway or any of the main North/South streets that run through it.
Over the years, I have found that my clients have responded well to York Mills equally for its quietness and for its proximity to the city. One point that bears mentioning is its closeness and easy access to the 401 highway. For anyone looking to get out of town on a regular basis – like the many residents living there with cottage properties to the north of the city – it’s an ideal living situation for them. As well, the neighbourhood offers good access to the shopping and dining options up-and-down Yonge Street and Avenue Road.
